Croy School was
built in 1872 and over the years has provided primary and secondary
education in this area. In 1972, following re-organisation, Croy
became a primary school.
This building was
demolished in the summer of 1998 and we moved into the new Croy school
in August. The Bell Tower was painstakingly taken apart and rebuilt as
part of a feature of the new school building. The teaching block
consists of four classrooms and a nursery built round an open area where
there are facilities for teaching, cooking, art and technology. There
is a mezzanine which incorporates a computer suite. In the rest of the
school we have the hall, dining area, staff room and administration and
medical rooms. The beautiful building, use of space and natural light
make the school a calm and pleasant building in which to work.
We
encourage parents, staff and pupils to work in partnership to develop
strong links between home and school. By taking an active interest in
your child’s work both in the school and at home and participating in
the life of the school you will help your child to make the best
possible progress. The school considers it very important that good
relationships exist between parents and staff. We have an “open door”
policy which invites you to telephone or visit if you have any concerns
about your child’s education.
