Croy Nursery class is situated in the village primary school.  We provide pre- school education for children between the ages of 3 and 5 for Croy and the surrounding area.  The nursery classroom was purpose built in 1998 as part of the new school. It is very well resourced and, along with the outdoor area, provides a stimulating and friendly environment for children to grow as individuals with their peers.

The pre –school years are vital in building confident, enthusiastic learners. The skills and learning they bring to nursery are greatly valued.   We aim to work closely in partnership with parents, getting to know the children’s strengths and building on them.  Your role as a parent is very much valued and we encourage you to play an active role in your child’s time in nursery.  We operate an open door policy where parents are always welcome in the nursery.  This involvement can range from settling your child as they begin their time at nursery, informally chatting at the start and close of the session or accompanying us on trips out of nursery.  Parents are also welcome at any time to stay and play during a nursery session, to let them see at first hand the range of activities and experiences the children participate in during a busy nursery session. Staff are available on a daily basis to talk about any concerns or suggestions you may have.  In addition to this, parents are invited to two parent’s evenings over the year when you will find out about your child’s progress.
